They give us a free day. We started out at 8:00AM, a half hour later than usual. We began today's journey byvisiting the Israel museum which now houses the scale model of the1st century city of Jerusalem. This model used to be in an entirelydifferent location, but was recently moved in its entirety to thislocation. This tunnel is amazing; in itone can see some of the huge stones laid by Herod the Great'sworkers. However, one tour member who comes from New Mexico had a late connecting flight, and never got on our light from San Francisco. We didn't know what happened to her until the end of our first day in Israel.
